Set up Gold Sentinel
From download to a running chart in about 15 minutes. You need MetaTrader 5, a broker that lists XAUUSD and your license key.
What you need
Four things, most of which you already have if you trade on MetaTrader 5.
MetaTrader 5 on Windows or a VPS
The desktop terminal, build 4000 or newer. The EA runs only while the terminal is open and connected.
A broker account with XAUUSD
Compatible with selected MT5 brokers. Compatibility and trading conditions should be verified before use. Demo accounts work for testing.
Your MT5 login number
The license binds to it the first time the EA starts. You can see it in MT5 under File, Login to Trade Account.
An always-on machine
A VPS near your broker's server keeps the EA running when your computer is off. An always-on PC works too.
Install
Install in four steps
- 01Rent a planYour license key appears on your purchase page the moment the payment confirms, and arrives by email with the page's link.
- 02Copy the EA into MetaTrader 5Download the file from your purchase page. In MT5 open File, Open Data Folder, then MQL5, Experts, and paste it there. Refresh the Navigator.
- 03Allow the license serverIn Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add the license server address from the setup guide.
- 04Attach it to XAUUSD and paste your keyOpen an XAUUSD M15 chart, drag Gold Sentinel onto it, paste your key in the Inputs tab, set your risk and switch on Algo Trading.
Always on
Why a VPS helps
Gold moves most in the Indian afternoon and evening. A VPS keeps MetaTrader 5 connected through those hours even when your laptop sleeps, and a server close to your broker keeps execution quick.
License
How the license works
Bound to your MT5 login
The first account the EA runs on is bound to your key automatically. To move it, message us on WhatsApp.
Checked on start, then every few hours
The EA asks our server whether the key is valid. A short offline grace window keeps it running through brief outages.
Expiry you can see
Your purchase page shows days left. Reminders arrive 7 days and 1 day before a rental ends.
Renew with the same key
Rent again with the same email and your current key is extended, so nothing needs reinstalling.
